Adrián Navarro, ‘Péndulo’: A Journey Through Dimensionality
Centro de Arte Caja de Burgos CAB, Spain
04 March 2025

Opera Gallery is proud to share the exhibition of artist Adrián Navarro at the Centro de Arte Caja de Burgos CAB, ‘Péndulo’ with the Fundación Caja de Burgos. This exhibition, running from February 28 through June 1, 2025, features an immersive installation explores the boundaries between dimensionality, perception, and artistic representation.

Curated by Javier Del Campo, the exhibition transforms the space into a journey through Navarro's distinctive visual language. ‘Péndulo’ features suspended three-dimensional paintings that challenge conventional notions of volume, space, and scale, creating an engaging visual experience for viewers.

The exhibition showcases Navarro's creative process, which functions like a pendulum swinging between distant and near perspectives. This oscillation allows the artist to explore his central motifs from multiple viewpoints, each movement revealing new visual challenges that he examines methodically.

Visitors begin their journey with the "Walls" series, where perforated surfaces reveal volcanic landscapes that suggest a natural world in transformation. As the perspective shifts, the exhibition moves to the "Spheres" and "Rings" series—geometric volumes suspended in space that function as planetary metaphors and weightless containers of living matter.

The exhibition continues with “Paradises”, presenting an ideal organic space free from human intervention, where curved forms contrast with angular geometries to symbolise a balance between chaos and order. The journey culminates with "Galaxies”, cosmic scale visions of immensity and infinite growth that connect viewers to sensations of expansion and flow.

In ‘Péndulo’, Navarro incorporates elements of digital art into his painting practice—utilising the resources of the digital realm to assert the enduring relevance of traditional artistic practices.

This exhibition follows his September 2024 solo exhibition ‘Paraísos’ at Opera Gallery Madrid.
